Blue Porterweed (Stachytarpheta spp.) is a fast-growing tropical perennial shrub or groundcover admired for its spikes of vibrant blue flowers that bloom profusely and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and moderate watering, and can spread quickly in warm climates. Though not native to Florida, it adds colorful nectar sources and wildlife value to food forests and tropical gardens.
