Gooseberry

Cape Gooseberry (Physalis peruviana), also called Goldenberry, is a fast-growing perennial or tender annual producing small, sweet-tart orange fruits encased in papery husks. It grows best in full sun with well-drained soil and moderate watering, and fruits prolifically with minimal care. The berries are delicious fresh, dried, or made into jams, sauces, or desserts, and are high in vitamin C and antioxidants — a fun, low-maintenance fruit for food forests.
